I took artistic inspiration from the anime 'Gintama' but the art transformed to be a style of its own. Science should be communicated using animation because our minds are appeal to explosiveness and pop - well mine does at least. I thought it would be best to express the underlying molecules mechanism of dementia through animation because I find bright and manipulative visuals easier to explain ‘neurones’ than 2D drawings. It’s important to understand that this piece is still far from incomplete however, I ask that you see this piece with insight into the world of scientific animation highlighted more towards an anime theme. And yes an anime is different from a cartoon and other animations. Firstly it’s spelt アニメ.
