Science Gallery Series - Short form videos

Student - Serafina Show

Supervisor - Jasmine Moss-White

My project is a series of short, vertical-form video content that delves into how science communication works differently at the Science Gallery. I created outlines for five videos, on the topics of target audience, forms of communication, constituent groups, sustainability, and an introductory video. The target audience is the same as the gallery, 18-25 year olds, which is shown through its modern medium of Tiktok-style videos. However, it’s also meant to be understandable to anyone who stumbles across it, much like the Science Gallery’s exhibitions themselves. It’s meant to make science easily accessible to anyone interested. The goal of the project is to simply give the Science Gallery’s audience a broader insight into how the Science Gallery functions, what considerations are made when creating its installations, and the values and goals of the gallery as a whole.
